Update 2022: Aufgrund des Angriffskrieges Putins gegen die Ukraine haben wir die Zusammenarbeit mit Winzawod/ Moskau bis auf unbestimmte Zeit ausgesetzt. Aktuell ist keine Bewerbung für den Aufenthalt in WINZAVOD / Moskau möglich!
Seit 2018 besteht die Partnerschaft von WINZAVOD - Zentrum für zeitgenössische Kunst / Moskau und NOVOPO Künstlerhaus Weitenhagen / Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Im Rahmen des artist exchange program erhielt die Berliner Künstlerin Ulrike Schmitz im Juni 2018 als erste Künstlerin die Möglichkeit als artist in residence nach Moskau / Russland zu reisen. Die künstlerische Zusammenarbeit mit dem Center for Contemporary Art verspricht interessante Einblicke in die russische Kunst, Kultur und Gesellschaft.
Im Mai/ Juni 2018 startete das internationale Künstler*innen Austausch Programm von WINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art in Moskau/ Russland und NOVOPO Projekt Weitenhagen/ Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Die Zusammenarbeit ermöglicht einer zeitgenössischen Bildenden Künstler*in einen 1- monatigen Arbeitsaufenthalt in WINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art in Moskau/ Russland.
Der Künstler*in wird kostenfreie Unterkunft und ein ca. 20m² großer Arbeitsraum direkt auf dem Gelände von WINZAVOD geboten. Reisekosten, Verpflegung und Kosten für gegebenenfalls benötigtes Material sind von der Künstler*in zu tragen, ebenso die Kosten für Visa (ca. 57 Euro).
Die Künstler*in erhält im Rahmen des Aufenthaltes die Möglichkeit des künstlerischen Austauschs mit Künstler*innen vor Ort. Daneben wird ein umfangreiches kulturelles Programm geboten. Auch die im Juni in WINZAVOD stattfindende „Young Biennale of Contemporary Art“ verspricht interessante Einblicke in die Moskauer Kunstszene und russische Kultur. Im Rahmen dessen erhält die Künstler*in eine Ausstellungsbeteiligung (Eröffnung 05. Juni 2018).
WINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art in Moskau/ Russland ist ein Komplex aus 7 Industriebauten einer ehemaligen Brauerei / Kelterei aus dem 19 Jh. und beherbergt heute mehrere Galerien und Räume für Kunst & kulturelle Events. WINZAVOD initiierte 2018 ein Programm zur Förderung russischer Künstler*innen und bietet diesen Unterstützung in der künstlerischen Entwicklung, Arbeits- und Ausstellungsmöglichkeit. Im Rahmen dessen findet der internationale Künstler*innen-Austausch zwischen WINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art/ Moskau und NOVOPO in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern/ Deutschland statt. Im August erhält eine Künstler*in aus Russland die Möglichkeit für einen Gastaufenthalt in Weitenhagen/ Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The partnership between WINZAVOD – Center for Contemporary Art (Moscow) and NOVOPO Künstlerhaus Weitenhagen (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) was established in 2018. As part of this artist exchange program, Berlin-based artist Ulrike Schmitz became the first artist to be granted the opportunity to travel to Moscow, Russia, as an artist-in-residence in June 2018. This artistic collaboration with the Center for Contemporary Art promises to offer fascinating insights into Russian art, culture, and society.
In May/June 2018, the international artist exchange program between the WINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow, Russia, and the NOVOPO Project in Weitenhagen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, was launched. This collaboration offers a contemporary visual artist a one-month residency at the WINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow, Russia. The artist is provided with free accommodation and a workspace of approximately 20 square meters, located directly on the WINZAVOD premises. Travel expenses, meals, and the cost of any necessary materials must be covered by the artist, as must the cost of a visa (approx. 57 euros). During the residency, the artist will have the opportunity to engage in artistic exchange with local artists. In addition, an extensive cultural program is offered. The "Young Biennale of Contemporary Art," taking place at WINZAVOD in June, also promises fascinating insights into the Moscow art scene and Russian culture. As part of this event, the artist will participate in an exhibition (opening on June 5, 2018).
The WINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow, Russia, is a complex comprising seven industrial buildings—formerly a 19th-century brewery and winery—and today houses several galleries as well as spaces for art and cultural events. In 2018, WINZAVOD launched a program to support Russian artists, offering them assistance with their artistic development, studio space, and exhibition opportunities. As part of this initiative, an international artist exchange is conducted between the WINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow and NOVOPO in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. In August, an artist from Russia will be offered the opportunity to undertake a residency in Weitenhagen, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
