Die Überwindung der Covid-19 Pandemie und der Abschluss einiger wichtiger Baumaßnahmen schienen in diesem Jahr endlich zuzulassen, dass der Künstler*innen Austausch mit Winzavod Center of Contemporary Art/ Moskau fortgeführt werden könnte. Leider macht Putins Angriffkrieg gegen die Ukraine dies unmöglich. Unser Mitgefühl den Menschen in der Ukraine.

The End of Covid-19 Pandemie and the completion of some important construction measures seemed to finally allow the artist exchange with Winzavod Center of Contemporary Art/Moscow to continue this year. Unfortunately, Putin's war against Ukraine makes this impossible. Our condolences to the people of Ukraine.

Many thanks to the artists interested in a residency at NOVOPO!!!
The selection was not easy as there had been many interesting applications from artists working in different media and following various issues. This season it is possible to offer a residency for 4 artists:
Claire Ebendinger (Brussels / Belgium)
Katja Garkushko (Russia)
Eva Zulauf (Hamburg/ Germany)
Marte Kiesling (Berlin / Germany)

ARTIST ULRIKE SCHMITZ FOR ARTIST EXCHANGE AT WINZAVOD/ MOSCOW

Im Juni 2018 ist die Berliner Künstlerin Ulrike Schmitz als Artist in Residence in Moskau / Russland! Der Künstler*innen Austausch findet im Rahmen der Zusammenarbeit von NOVOPO / Mecklenburg-Vorpommern mit WINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art in Moskau / Russland statt. Im Herbst 2018 wird dann eine Künstler*in aus Russland zu Gast in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern sein!
Ausgangspunkt für die künstlerische Arbeit von Ulrike Schmitz in Moskau sind die pseudobiologischen Theorien von Trofim Denissowitsch Lyssenko (1898-1976). Ulrike Schmitz arbeitet dabei im Bereich Fotographie/Objekt.
